Friday – Day 2 of Road to California

Another great day in Southern California.  Today I had the opportunity to take a class from Paul Reed.  It was a machine quilting class using a brand new Bernina, right out of the box.  I became a Bernina owner about 6 months ago and this is the first time I’ve really had an opportunity to learn to use the BSR for machine quilting.
Here I am with Paula.  She is a wonderful teacher. She has a Blog you can follow here.

I was also very excited to have Rachel Clark in the class with me.  Rachel is a wonderful garment designer who has been on Simply Quilts several times.  I own several of her patterns and hope to make one of them one of these days.
Here I am with Rachael.

I think she was trying to be incognito but the bracelets, necklace and beautiful voice gave her away.  I was thrilled to meet her.
Here’s today’s dose of quilts I liked from the quilt show.  Don’t forget you should be able to click on the picture to enlarge it.

Tomorrow is another class and last minute shopping and then home.  I should have more pictures to share with you then.
For now…….

  2. COOL! Rachel is AWESOME! I took a class from her in '95 up in Port Townsend...she's FUN!! Does she still wear those wild/bright Reebok hitops?

This is great seeing the updates from all the fun you are having.
