Design Wall Monday–September 24, 2012

Very Slow Progress

I haven’t managed to sew a single stitch over the last week.  My excuse(s)?  It’s been very hot and humid here in Southern California, I’ve been busy doing some fall (spring) cleaning and I’ve been distracted working on plans for John and my upcoming vacation.

Since I posted last, I have managed to add sashing to my Great Granny Square Quilt blocks and have started sewing the blocks together.  I will then need to add a narrow 1st border of the gray followed by a wider border that will use some of my extra 2 1/2” squares.  With my vacation starting just over a week from now, I’m hoping to maybe get this quilt top together, we’ll see.

I know I’m going to love it once it finished.  To see what other’s have on their design walls, head on over to Judy’s Patchwork Times Blog

  1. Love the blocks - one week sounds good - deadlines make me move quicker, altho - sometimes its too stressful.Enjoy your trip!

  2. It is wonderful. Hopefully you can get it done before vacation but if not, soon after.

  3. I love it. Looking good. I hate the step of sewing blocks together and it all gets so big. Good luck and get it done.

  4. It looks great!!!

I hear ya with the humidity! It is yucky.

  5. Oh they look like crochet them!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I love knowing that I'm not alone, blogging into thin air.
