A Spider Web (at least it’s my version of a spider web)

Today was a productive day.  My BFF Marilyn came over this morning and she helped me pull fabric for my Mary Lou Weidman class I’m attending this Thursday and Friday.  Then she help me layer and pin my Halloween quilt.  After that, of course, we went to lunch, so that left this afternoon without anything urgent that needed to be done.

Soooooooo, I started quilting my Halloween UFO.  I started out by quilting a grid so that everything would stay in place and then the fun began.   I had bought some glow-in-the-dark thread from Superior Threads last July and this was finally my chance to use it.

The next picture is hard to see, so look closely, it really does glow.

I know it’s hard to see, so instead you’ll just have to believe me.   This is a fairly large spider web so I’m not sure if I’ll do one or two more, placed randomly on the quilt.  Then I’ll decide how to quilt the rest of it with regular thread.  I’m thinking just a meander or loopty-loop.  Any suggestions?

Enjoy,

  1. It looks great - good spider web! I think a simple meander will be fine on the rest of it.

  2. I LOVE it! Excellent. I still say you need a spider in the corner. Just a big ol head of one with bulging eyes.
