Design Wall Monday–May 19, 2014

What’s the saying?  The more things change the more they stay the same?

My design wall still has Dresden’s on it.  I move them around every once in a while but that’s about it.  I have a bunch more in progress but it’s been so darn hot here I haven’t spent much time in my sewing room.

I did make this little Dresden pincushion.

It’s cute but not great, however I do see more in my future.  I love pincushions.

Design Wall Monday–May 12, 2014

I participate in two Round Robin’s.  One of them is through one of my guilds, Quilters by the Sea.  I’m pretty sure the owner of this center doesn’t follow my blog so I thought I’d share it this week and ask for suggestions.

It’s about 24” square and I have no idea what I’m going to do for the next border.  Please leave me your suggestions in a comment.  I really could use your help.

Design Wall Monday–May 5, 2014

I’m still making Dresden’s and continue to periodically play with the layout on my design wall.  Here’s is a pile of blades waiting to be sewn to a background.

And cutup segments waiting to be cut in to blades.

Maybe by next week I’ll have a finished top to show you.  A girl can hope anyway.

Love My New Fabric

Look what I received in the mail today.

My wonderful sister Melinda sent this to me.  I saw it on her blog recently and just had to have it.  I asked her to send me a fat quarter of each but I got half yards.  Yay!!!!!  I’m planning on making a wallet.  Stay tuned.

Thank you my dear sister.  I love it.
