Shelli’s Last Minute Gifts

I guess my daughter Shelli takes after me at times.  She sometimes waits until the last minute to get things done.   She is also well aware of my love of pillowcases.  Her daughter/my granddaughter Emily was camera person, producer, director and video editor for my first YouTube video on making pillowcases.  (You can find a link to the video and/or the pattern on the right side of the Blog.)

This afternoon Shelli and family are getting together with her Dad, stepmother and half-sister to celebrate Christmas.  So last night I get a call asking if I have any Margarita fabric that she can use to make a pillowcase for her Dad.  She wants to make a pillowcase for him as well as one for her stepmother, Bonnie.

So this morning she comes over and we search through my stash and come up with fabric that has Mexican food and Margarita’s on it.  For Bonnie we found fabric that has chocolate covered cherries and strawberries and then an end piece of fabric has chocolate chips.  This was actually the same exact fabric I used in my video.

Thought you’d like to see a close-up of the Margarita fabric (it’s an old Robert Kaufman).  Looking at it again makes me hungry, guess I’ll go have some lunch.  smile_wink

Enjoy,
