It’s Contest Time!

Today marks my 200th Blog post.  YEA!  I started back in 2007 but didn’t really get serious about it until 2009.  I don’t know about you, but sometimes you feel like you’re posting into thin air.  That’s when I decided I needed to Blog just for me and if others read it that was great. 

Last month I was reading someone else's Blog and saw that they had a counter.  It counts visitors as well as countries that have visited your site.  I decided what the heck I’d install it on my Blog and see what happened.  At the time I really didn’t expect much.  I knew I had some readers and a few comments here and there but very few followers so my expectations weren’t high. 

Shortly after installing the widget I was notified that I had my first visitor from outside the US and it was South Africa.  I have no idea who it was from South Africa but I can’t thank you enough for visiting my Blog, you definitely made my day, week and month. 

So what’s to celebrate?  Well my 200th post of course but more significantly the 1 month anniversary of me installing my counter.  On December 12, 2009 I install my counter from New Counter and as of today January 12, 2010 I have had over 1,000 visitors from 39 countries.  I’m overwhelmed.  Apparently I’m not Blogging into thin air.
