Two Wacky Women Retreats

I am really excited.  By using the tutorial by Tip Junkie on how to create a Blog Button, I did it! Yea!!!  Check it out, right over there on the right.  See it?  It’s the Two Wacky Women Logo.  All you have to do to visit the website is click on the “GIRLS”, or if you’d like, you can copy the HTML and place our button on your Blog.  I wouldn’t mind at all, in fact I’d probably do a happy dance.

I don’t think I’ve ever spent much time talking about our TWW retreats.  But before that, here’s a little Two  Wacky Women history.  Marilyn (http://marilynpond.blogspot.com) and I have been in business for over 6 years.  We started out as a retreat business and then ventured out to include vending at quilt show and also rolled my pattern business (www.robinquiltsetc.com) into the fold.  The vending was a huge help in building not only our retreat business but also my pattern business.  Thank goodness, we have been very fortunate, and our Retreat business has continued to grow and prosper, thanks to all of our wonderful customers.   Although vending has been very good to us, it is a tremendous amount of physical work.  Recently Marilyn and I looked at each other and said “This is just too darn hard” and by the way, we’re not getting any younger.  So we are slowly working our way out of vending and TWW will concentrate on what we love best, retreats.

We have 6 retreats scheduled for the remainder of 2010 and throughout 2011.   We just added two addition in 2011  because as you can see below, we seem to be selling out way in advance.

October 1, 2 & 3, 2010 – This retreat has been sold out for almost a year thanks to many returning customers.

March 4, 5 & 6, 2011 – This is a Machine Quilting retreat that Two Wacky Women facilitates for Frances Moore.   This will be the 4th time we’ve facilitated this retreat for her.  She is a wonderful domestic machine quilter and an even better teachers.  Although the retreat is designed for individuals with little or no experience machine quilting, we find that many of her students love to come back to learn and reinforce their skills.  At this time we still have some openings but don’t wait long if you’re interested.

April 1, 2 & 3, 2011 – This retreat has been sold out for quite some time.  This is a work on your own project, work on a UFO or if you’d like we will be featuring a project for you.  Although we show sold out, you never know what will happen between now and then.  If you’d like to be placed on a wait list, please visit the website and follow the link.

June 10, 11 & 12, 2011 – We recently add this UFO retreat due to the early sell out of April.  Sign-ups have already started  but we still have room for you to join us.    A deposit will hold your spot.

September 30, October 1 & 2, 2011 – There are still openings but I would be surprised if this one doesn’t sell out  by the end of October of this year.  This would be a great time to work on Christmas gifts.

October 14, 15  & 16, 2011 – We just updated the website to introduce this retreat that will feature Lyn Brown as our guest teacher.  Lyn has worked with us in the past and we are thrilled to have a retreat featuring her again.  Once again Lyn will be designing an original quilt design just for Two Wacky Women.  I can’t tell you how thrilled we are to have her with us again.  Sign-up early to get in on this one, it’s a real winner.

These are picture from just two of our many, many retreats.  We always take a group picture but for whatever reason, I can’t seem to put my fingers on them right now.

If you’d like to join us in 2011, you know what to do, click away and sign up for one of our really fun retreats.  Hope to see you there.

Enjoy,
