Like many guilds, Orange Grove Quilters Guild has a UFO Challenge every year. I’ve signed up in the past but I must admit I haven’ been very successful. This year is going to be different (I think, I hope). The first one was due this month but we were able to turn it in in December, which I did. So, so far, so good. At yesterday’s meeting they announced that the next UFO that is due for completion in March is #5.
Well it took me a while to find my copy of the sign up sheet but I finally found it and my #5 is “A Compass for All Quilters” by Sharyn Craig. Originally I think this was suppose to be 12 – 18” blocks but after 3, I decided it would make a great table runner or wall hanging.
This was made in a Road to California class back in, I think 2011. At the time Sharyn had announced her retirement and I really wanted to take one last class from her. I guess it’s aged enough now so it’s time to quilt it, bind it, label it and turn it in by the March guild meeting. Wish me luck!!!!!!
Enjoy,
That will make such a nice table topper! Are the center circles appliqued on?
