I like to make pillow shams to go with my bed quilts. In this case I had three log cabin blocks left over from making my Amish with a Twist bed sized quilt. All I had to do is make one more block, sew them together and add some borders.
That was the easy part. Now I need to quilt them to mimic the quilting that Russ did on my actual quilt.
I’ve made the back for the shams. I’ve made the binding for the shams. I’ve done everything I can think of except start the actual quilting. I’m slowly working up the nerve to start.

Enjoy,
I have all of the kits to make this quilt and there they sit. Yours is gorgeous! Maybe it will inspire me to pull mine out of the cabinet. Love your shams, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You have just inspired me to get back to working on this quilt. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one gorgeous quilt. I can see why you would be nervous about the quilting but I bet you do a great job on it.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is gorgeous! Go ahead and start that quilting. I know you will do a fine job. Maybe you can mark it first to help you get started.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! You've done such a wonderful job with it. Now you've got me wanting to order the kit...but I just had car repairs done...it will take awhile for my budget to recover.
ReplyDeleteVery inspirational, though!
