Design Wall Monday–September 8, 2014

Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing on my design wall in my sewing room.  I have instead been preparing to teach and speak at Orange Grove Quilters Guild this week.  My lecture and trunk show are Wednesday morning and my In and Out workshop is Tuesday and then again Thursday.

This is my portable design wall that is a step-by-step visual for creating the block.  I’m taught this before but I have now added the layout for making a completely interlocking quilt.

I taught this quilt originally as a totally scrappy quilt but have since added the completely interlocking version like the one below made with a constant background and 4 different reds.

To see what others are working on, check out Judy’s Patchwork Times blog.

Enjoy,

  1. I'm fascinated by the block. It looks like there is some partial seam construction going on.

The red and black is fabulous.
