What was I thinking? I actually put this old, very old UFO on my guild challenge list. It must be at least 9 or 10 years old. There are only 8 blocks so I’m thinking about turning it into a table runner and will probably un-sew some of the blocks so that I can use them as set-in triangles. This one is due in June, but with everything going on, its going to be here before I know it.
Wish me luck. Check out Judy’s Patchwork Times Blog to see what others are working on.
Enjoy,
Fun idea to turn this UFO into a tablerunner with half blocks on the sides...maybe you have enough blocks to make 2 runners?
ReplyDeleteAs I recall that quilt had a pretty wide sashing to it using 3 fabrics, almost like a rail fence. It going to make a nice table runner.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea to make this a runner. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning table runner that will be. Great way to use those blocks and finish them!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to turn the blocks into a runner and get them out of a UFO box!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it, I have faith in you....looking good by the way...what a cute runner it will make!
ReplyDeleteWhat was that fabric? I can't tell from the photo.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love kaleidoscope quilts, although they are a lot of work....
ReplyDeleteOh I love a stack-n-whack and these blocks are stunning!
ReplyDeleteIs this an original stack n whack from when Sue came and showed the Wackos how to do it?
ReplyDeleteBut Robin -- you will feel so good when you finish this quilt. I am focusing on UFO's this year and have gotten 2 completed. And, 2 are in works. And, I am giving myself permission to start quilts that I've been looking at making for a long time. Why else do I buy the patterns???
