I’m still playing with Dresden’s. This time it’s a small wall hanging for my front door. The inspiration for the watermelon theme came from seeing something similar on someone else's blog. Unfortunately, I don’t remember who, or I’d give them credit.
It’s only about 20 inches square but I think it’s turning out real cute.
Thanks to Frances Moore, I at least attempted to make hookie hooks. Without her encouragement I wouldn’t even have the nerve to try. I know I still need to practice but they’re coming along. Thank you Frances. And would you believe this straight quilting through the watermelon seeds was done with my free-motion foot. Again, thanks to Frances for convincing me it can be done.
I still need to add the binding and a sleeve but then it will be ready to hang up on my front door.

Enjoy,
Very cute! I gave away (donated) my watermelon quilt and have been feeling the need for another one. Little is good!
