Borders are on–Now what?

IMG_3971

Now that the borders are on it’s time to quilt it, but how?  It’s probably my favorite quilt top and I really want to quilt it myself but how is the big question.  I have the backing ready and I’ve ordered black batting for it so I really need to get serious about how to actually do the quilting.  Any suggestions?

Enjoy,

  1. Hi Robin, I know it can be daunting to quilt it yourself. I love the border, I am still learning about borders and how to make it eye catching.

I guess in keeping with the theme you could do circles in the background area and little motifs (maybe floral) in the middle of the circles.

  2. Some of us are taking Frances' feather quilting class in Sept. Bet you could get some great ideas from her. The quilt looks amazing.

  6. What a wonderful quilt but no ideas...I have problems deciding how I am going to do my own quilts...and I am really weak in that area.
