Tomorrow is my daughter, Shelli’s birthday. We usually have chocolate cake for birthday’s but this year she suggested that we have strawberries, sour cream and brown sugar and of course brownies for my granddaughters (and maybe for the rest of us).
Of course, I was out of brownie mix so I had to resort to making them from scratch. I always seem to forget that making them from scratch is almost as easy as opening a box.
Growing up my Mother always rolled the brownies in powdered sugar. I rarely do that anymore but boy-oh-boy are they good that way. So today the brownies got rolled in powdered sugar.
Here they are right out of the oven cooling. | And here they are all decked out in their powdered sugar coating. |
I’ve posted my recipe for “From Scratch Brownies” over on my Robin Quilts, etc. website. It’s a PDF file so you’ll need to have a PDF reader to open it.
Now back to quilting.
Enjoy,
Oh my - brownies rolled in powered sugar sound yummy. I've got to try that one. thank you for sharing your recipe
