Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been a very busy girl the last couple of weeks.  To my loyal followers, I am so sorry that I’ve been out of touch.  Life is still going to be crazy for the remainder of the month but I’ll try to check in with all of you as best I can.

Starting about two weeks ago, Marilyn and I headed to San Diego for a day of sewing and visiting with Sew Cal Gal.  She is very active blogger, dedicated to promoting quilting.   We met at a wonderful location with her and several of her friends.  It was hard to focus with a gorgeous view like this.

Next it was time to get ready for our Two Wacky Women fall retreat.   What a great group.  Check them out.

We had a great time and I even had time to make a section of a Hunter’s Star.

You can’t believe how easy it was.  This piece is about 19 inches square.  I can’t wait to get back to working on it but for now it will have to wait.

Right after I got back from the TWW retreat, it was time to head to the local mountains, Big Bear Lake, to set up shop for a couple of days to sell fabric and “stuff” as well as teach a few small projects.  I just got back yesterday and now it’s time to move on to the next thing.

Today Marilyn and I are setting up for the Los Angeles county Quilters Guild quilt show which starts tomorrow.  The show is being held at the Ritz Gardens, 11201 First Ave., Whittier, CA.  It will be open Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and again on Saturday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.  If you’re coming to the show, please stop  by and say hello.  My friend Rob will be working the booth with me.

Oh, and on top of everything else, I’m in the middle of getting new wood floors installed throughout my house.  What a mess, but it’s going to look great.

Stay tuned for more updates on what’s going on in my busy life.

Enjoy,

  1. Are you taking all the carpet out? It will be great to have the wood in the other rooms. Love the hunters star.
